Gloucester are having difficult two games coming up in around six days in the Challenge Cup. The away game against Rovigo is on Saturday, 15 January (1400 GMT) with the last group match at home to Agen on Thursday, 20 January (1945 GMT).

“It is a tight turnaround, but these things happen sometimes” said managing director Ken Nottage.

“ERC have made this decision but having a game on a Thursday is new to us.”

“It could be tricky for supporters because some will have work the next day and getting here from work could mean travelling direct to the ground. It’s not ideal but that’s what we’ve been given.”
